Getting two different area datasets to play well together (in this case, population density and presence/absence of leopards), is often a big challenge. It took a long stretch of trial and error, and I’ve included some of my false starts so that you can see behind the scenes (and if you want to read more about that, click here). But, I’m glad it came together so well! This piece appeared in an article in the March 2023 edition of Scientific American.
