November 2024I sell some of my map prints on an Etsy store. Since they are print on demand products, I don’t have copies of each item in order to offer my customers real-world photographs (I would have to pay hundreds of dollars to have them all printed for my own purposes).
But I turned this problem into an opportunity to try out my design skills on making product mockups. I tried to present the items in an engaging and dynamic way that showed customers a reasonable representation of the product. The various colored and pattern backgrounds represent an attempt at being honest that these are mockups, and not photos of the real thing.
