It’s a detailed, beautiful map that shows off hundreds of landform and maritime features, in a very traditional style. Yet, it does so with a highly interrupted, odd-looking projection I call the Asymmetric Monstrosity. It’s equal area, so the continents are shown in correct proportions, unlike some other popular wall maps. &nbsp;30 × 20in︎ Purchase ︎ Learn More <img width="1500" height="1098" width_o="1500" height_o="1098" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/133276a6437702f90ddd37553eda819d6f029cedf8c81bef1e0cd54d2d18e158/Framed-on-Fake-Wall.jpg" data-mid="238679607" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/133276a6437702f90ddd37553eda819d6f029cedf8c81bef1e0cd54d2d18e158/Framed-on-Fake-Wall.jpg" /> <img width="2178" height="1262" width_o="2178" height_o="1262" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/fd810f7b3020bea53811b41d33c4fdfe5e3b58ea85510c23e5fc101539d808c0/ThumbTwo.jpg" data-mid="238679587" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/fd810f7b3020bea53811b41d33c4fdfe5e3b58ea85510c23e5fc101539d808c0/ThumbTwo.jpg" /> <img width="2400" height="1600" width_o="2400" height_o="1600" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/38c51a84bbe2b3f8a93230226501be87c7215217b9f7597425fa3d431d2a01be/ThumbThree.jpg" data-mid="238679588" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/38c51a84bbe2b3f8a93230226501be87c7215217b9f7597425fa3d431d2a01be/ThumbThree.jpg" /> https://somethingaboutmaps.com/Terrain-Lines Tue, 29 Oct 2024 19:08:03 +0000 somethingaboutmaps https://somethingaboutmaps.com/Terrain-Lines Terrain Lines Modern Elevation Sketches It took me several months of tinkering and toolmaking to create this series of posters of iconic peaks (and other terrain), illustrated in a sketch style inspired by old hachure drawings.
