Michigan: Natural Modernism

For a long while, I was interested in presenting the natural world using a highly stylized visual language, which you can see play out in my River Transit Maps. Beyond that, though, I wanted to look at how to apply similar styling to terrain and vegetation. So here is my beloved homeland of Michigan, in a highly generalized and stylized form. Plenty of 45 and 90-degree angles abound. It feels almost like a circuit board, as I look back on it.
